The JiuJianTang club stands out from traditional KTV venues by redefining the concept of space division and function. Instead of enclosed small rooms, the design embraces an open layout that promotes interaction and engagement. The space is carefully crafted to provide a comfortable and natural ambiance, with different lighting designs and music integrated to create distinct emotional atmospheres.
One of the standout features of the JiuJianTang club is the use of color. Each area within the club is given a different hue, with mysterious purples and abstruse blues dominating the overall palette. The combination of these colors, along with the crisscrossing tree shadows in the mottled light and shadow, creates a deep and stylish atmosphere that instantly transports guests away from reality.
The design of the club also incorporates elements of nature. Artificial green plants are implanted on the ceiling, giving the space a jungle-like feel. To balance the sound absorption of the plants, steel plates are added at the bottom. The walls are adorned with wallpaper featuring flower and bird patterns, as well as crisscrossed tree shadows, further enhancing the magical ambiance.
The JiuJianTang club covers an area of 95 square meters and was completed in November 2017 in Shanghai. The project presented several challenges, as it involved renovating and transforming an existing basement space. However, the designer successfully created a vibrant and practical audio-visual space that sets it apart from traditional KTV venues.
The JiuJianTang club has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2019. This award acknowledges the club's creative ingenuity and its contribution to improving the quality of life through art, science, design, and technology.
Step into the JiuJianTang club and be transported to a green fairyland, where music, conversation, and relaxation intertwine to create a truly magical experience.
